  • Hi,

You need to be listed in the electoral roll to be able to vore in the Swedish election to the European Parliament. The last day to apply to be listed in the Swedish electoral roll was 10 May 2024. Please contact your local County Administrative Board (länsstyrelsen) to check if you are listed in the electoral roll. If you live in Värmdö/Stockholm, you can contact Stockholm County Administrative Board by phone 010-223 10 00 or by email stockholm@lansstyrelsen.se.

If you are listed in the Swedish electoral roll, you have the right to participate in the Swedish election to the European Parliament. You can vote in your assigned polling station on the election day Sunday 9 June 2024. Your assigned polling station is specified on your voting card (röstkort). You can also vote in advance in any polling station in the whole country. If you choose to vote in advance, you need to bring your voting card, but many polling station can print a voting card for you. You can also order a new voting card on val.se.

Remember that if you choose to vote in the Swedish election to the European Parliament, you may not also vote in the German election to the European parliament. If you have citizenship in two EU countries, you can choose which country you vote in. It is illegal to vote in more than one country.

Finally, if you are not listed in the Swedish electoral roll, you may instead vote in the German election. Contact the German election authority for more information.
    Sandra
